Who I work with
I work with a diverse range of individuals, each with their own unique needs, goals, and challenges. Whether you're just starting your fitness journey, recovering from an injury or health condition, navigating mental health challenges, or looking for a supportive community to grow stronger, I’m here to help. My approach is flexible and adaptable, focusing on your specific circumstances and ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a plan that empowers you to build strength, improve your health, and move through life with confidence, no matter where you're starting from.
The Beginner
Description: You're new to exercise or returning after a long break. Maybe the gym feels overwhelming, or you’re unsure of where to start, but you're ready to take the first step toward feeling stronger and more capable in your body. You may have tried workout programs in the past but struggled to stay consistent or find something that truly worked for you.
Their Goals: Build strength, improve mobility, and create a sustainable fitness routine while improving health. Learn to incorporate fitness into your lifestyle. Develop confidence in movement and learn proper form to prevent injury and maximize results.
What They Need: A supportive, judgment-free environment with clear guidance to help them feel comfortable and capable. A structured yet flexible approach that focuses on foundational movements, gradual progression, and long-term success. Encouragement to celebrate progress and stay motivated without feeling pressured.
The Injury Recoverer
Description: You're recovering from surgery, dealing with a past injury, or managing ongoing aches and pains. You might feel frustrated by movement limitations or concerned about making things worse, but you’re committed to rebuilding strength and confidence in your body. Whether you're working through a nagging issue or recovering from a more significant setback, you want to move safely and feel better in your daily life.
Their Goals: Regain strength, mobility, and function while preventing future injuries. Reduce pain and discomfort through intentional movement and progressive training. Improve overall quality of life by feeling more capable and confident in movement.
What They Need: A thoughtful, adaptive approach that prioritizes safety and minimizes discomfort while rebuilding strength. A coach who understands how to modify exercises to support healing, strengthen weak areas, and help them return to the activities they love—without pushing too hard, too soon. I also collaborate with physical therapists and doctors to ensure training aligns with medical guidance and supports the client’s recovery process.
The Busy Professional
Description: Juggling a demanding career, family responsibilities, and personal commitments, they want to prioritize fitness but often feel there aren’t enough hours in the day. They may struggle with consistency, stress management, or finding a routine that fits their lifestyle.
Their Goals: Improve energy levels, reduce stress, and build strength in a way that supports their overall well-being. They want workouts that complement their schedule without adding extra pressure.
What They Need: Time-efficient, flexible workouts that deliver results without overwhelming their already full plate. A structured yet adaptable plan that makes fitness a sustainable part of their life, with guidance to maximize progress in the time they have available.
The Older Adult
Description: Committed to staying strong, mobile, and independent as they age, they recognize the importance of movement for long-term health. They may be experiencing age-related changes such as decreased muscle mass, joint stiffness, or balance challenges and want to stay active for as long as possible.
Their Goals: Maintain and improve strength, joint health, and flexibility to support daily activities. Increase balance and stability to reduce the risk of falls, stay independent, and continue enjoying hobbies, travel, and time with family.
What They Need: A thoughtful, functional approach to exercise that prioritizes mobility, stability, and strength in a safe and supportive environment. Exercises tailored to their abilities and goals, with an emphasis on injury prevention and building confidence in movement.
Chronic Pain and Health Conditions
Description: Living with a chronic condition—whether it’s lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, or another long-term health issue—can make movement feel like a challenge. They may experience fluctuating energy levels, joint pain, muscle stiffness, or unpredictable symptoms, making it difficult to follow traditional fitness programs. They want to build strength and mobility in a way that supports their body rather than overwhelms it.
Their Goals: Improve strength, mobility, and overall well-being while managing symptoms. Increase energy levels, reduce pain and discomfort, and build resilience through movement that feels good and enhances daily life.
What They Need: A highly individualized and flexible approach to training that adapts to their body’s needs on any given day. A coach who understands the complexities of chronic pain and health conditions and can modify workouts to prevent symptom flare-ups while still promoting strength and function. A collaborative relationship built on trust and open communication, where the client feels heard and supported in making movement a sustainable part of their life. Movement strategies that focus on longevity, quality of life, and feeling capable in their body.
Eating Disorder Recovery
Description: Individuals in recovery from eating disorders who want to rebuild a positive relationship with movement. They may have a history of over-exercising, avoiding exercise, or using fitness as a means of control, and they are seeking a space where they can move their body without pressure, shame, or diet-focused messaging. They want to focus on what their body can do rather than how it looks.
Their Goals: Build strength, confidence, and a sense of capability in their body without tying movement to weight loss, punishment, or food-related behaviors. Develop a consistent, enjoyable fitness routine that supports overall well-being and recovery.
What They Need: A non-diet, weight-neutral approach to fitness that prioritizes how movement feels rather than how it changes their body. A coach who understands the complexities of eating disorder recovery and provides a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Guidance on moving in a way that is empowering, free from guilt, and rooted in self-care rather than external expectations. I collaborate with registered dietitians and licensed therapists to ensure a holistic, well-rounded approach that supports your recovery journey.
The Neurodivergent Client
Description: Individuals with ADHD, autism, or other neurodivergent traits who may benefit from a structured and predictable approach to exercise. These clients may face challenges with focus, sensory processing, or maintaining a consistent routine but are motivated to improve their physical health and well-being. They seek an environment that supports their unique needs, with understanding and flexibility.
Their Goals: Build physical strength, improve focus and self-regulation, enhance body awareness, and create a sense of comfort and control within their environment. Develop a consistent fitness routine that feels empowering and manageable.
What They Need: A structured, clear, and predictable approach to training that aligns with their needs and preferences. Regular feedback, visual cues, and simple, direct communication are key to creating a productive workout experience. Flexibility to adjust exercises or training styles to accommodate sensory or processing preferences, and a coach who is patient, understanding, and responsive to their individual needs.
The LGBTQ+ Client
Description: Looking for a safe, affirming space to work out, free from judgment or discrimination. Whether you’re navigating body changes, transitioning, or just seeking a space where you can be your authentic self, this program is for you. I provide a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals feel respected, no matter their gender, identity, or background.
Their Goals: Build strength, improve fitness, and feel empowered in their body while navigating the unique challenges of being LGBTQ+ and/or transgender. This includes working through any discomfort or body image concerns and embracing movement that feels good and authentic.
What They Need: An affirming, inclusive space where their identity is respected. This requires clear communication, a judgment-free zone, and an approach that is tailored to the individual's experiences and needs. My coaching is rooted in providing a welcoming environment for all genders, body types, and identities. I’m committed to making every person feel comfortable, valued, and supported throughout their fitness journey - celebrating strength in every form.
The Trauma Survivor and Mental Health Support
Description: Working through PTSD, anxiety, depression, or other mental health conditions. Individuals in this category may have past experiences that require a more gentle and thoughtful approach to training. It’s important to acknowledge the complex relationship between mental health and physical well-being, and how fitness can play a role in the healing process.
Their Goals: Improve emotional well-being, build strength, and feel empowered through movement. This includes learning to manage mental health symptoms, building resilience, and finding balance between body and mind. Exercise can help improve mood, reduce stress, and boost confidence, but the process must feel empowering and gentle, rather than overwhelming.
What They Need: A trauma-informed approach to fitness that prioritizes safety, understanding, collaboration, and care. This involves creating a safe, supportive environment that fosters healing and personal growth through movement, while respecting personal boundaries and progress at an individualized pace. I collaborate with psychologists and licensed therapists on client plans, ensuring a holistic approach to support mental and physical health. I work to ensure that each client feels safe and supported, and that the training process honors their emotional and mental health needs while encouraging gradual, sustainable physical progress.
